Global Missions

As we endeavor to be more like Jesus, we obey His command to make His name known among the nations. We do so by mobilizing our church family to use their passions, gifts, and resources to brightly shine the light of Jesus in the world. We are excited to go to the places He has called us to in this next year and we invite you to go beyond the walls of the church with us into a city, a nation, and a world in need of the transforming power of Jesus. Let’s build the Kingdom and make disciples together as faithful followers of Christ!

The Global Missions team and trip participants are excited to share an opportunity to be involved in sending and serving people in the Rio Grande Valley, Belize, and Nigeria in 2024. All you must do is be a grill loving person, and you can join the support team! The unique design takes into consideration all the wants and needs of a grill smoker expert, AND it will be mobile! For a suggested donation of $2,000, you can have a custom smoker grill and be reminded each time you use it to pray for the nations.

Perspectives is a fifteen-lesson education course exploring different aspects of God's global purpose in a multi-faceted learning experience. It isn’t a course solely about world missions. It’s a study program rooted in Scripture, clarifying each believer’s remarkable opportunity to join God in His global purpose. Perspectives will challenge your view of God – and yourself, as you understand the value and benefit of being a Christian with a global view.

Stay tuned for information on the next course offering in 2025.

Participate in training on the Cibolo campus about serving refugees followed by travel to a medical center area apartment complex. We will distribute flyers and invite families to the complex playground for games and to receive diapers and rice. Get to know the families stories and begin to build friendships as we share the love of Jesus.

Stay tuned for more information about our next Serving Sunday project happening April 6, 2025.

Reach, Teach, Love International (RTL) serves the refugee and immigrant community living locally and abroad. RTL helps to remove misconceptions about other cultures, and creates a bridge where love and respect are exchanged. This provides greater opportunities to extend the love of God to others in a meaningful way that impacts the hearts and minds of people everywhere.

Cibolo Creek began a partnership with Buckner International in the Penitas & Donna colonias in the fall of 2022 in an effort to share the Gospel with families living along the Texas/Mexico border. Our hope is to develop on-going relationships with local churches and families living in both colonias who are in need of Christ.

Reach, Teach, Love International (RTL) hosts a one-day 9-4:30 immersive missional outing in San Antonio in the "Silk Road" area where tens of thousands of refugee and immigrant people groups live and work. We provide an overview of some of the people who have come to live here and why then head out into the community to experience the sights, the people and the wonderful tastes of the regions we're so fortunate to have in our own backyard! We visit a local mosque liaison and communicate cross-culturally with some amazing people to remove misconceptions and create bridges of love and respect. This mission provides opportunities to extend the love of Jesus in a meaningful way, impacting the hearts and minds of the people.

“Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move.” Matthew 17:20

We will join the Moving Mountains prayer group, who meet the first Friday of each month, to pray for refugees in the areas in which they live in northwest San Antonio. Walking while praying is a way to care for these friends while breaking down barriers. You don’t have to be skilled in praying, just willing to pray silently or lift your voice to God on behalf of the families. You can walk and pray with Moving Mountains now on the first Friday of every month, or join the church family in October. Meet in rear parking lot of the Bill Miller on Wurzbach at 8:30am. We can’t wait for you to move mountains with us!

Cibolo Creek was introduced to Ministry of Mercy Orphanage by its founders, Daniel and Esther Edeh, in 2007. We knew God was calling us to serve where most missions organizations do not go. Since our first trip in 2008, Ministry of Mercy has become family. We believe God is not done working through Cibolo Creek in Nigeria and this trip will include a group of people looking to explore our next steps with the ministry. As a partner of Ministry of Mercy, we support their efforts in orphan care, food assistance, medical care, education, well drilling, solar electric, building projects and more!
