With Habitat for Humanity
In partnership with Habitat for Humanity, Cibolo Creek Community Church is excited to build a house for a family in need of decent, affordable housing. Join us as we help make a lasting impact in our community! Home builds will begin in the fall of 2025, but we are already looking to build our teams!
We are looking for eight Project Foremen to lead our upcoming home days. Project Foremen you will play a key role in supporting the on-site coordination of the build activities, ensuring a smooth, safe, and positive experience for all volunteers. No construction experience? No problem! We will make sure you have all the tools (see what we did there?) you need to make your home build day a success. Ready to build more than just a house? Sign up now and be a key part of something transformative.

Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit Christian housing organization working in local communities across all 50 states and in more than 70 countries around the world. Habitat’s vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Habitat works toward this vision by building and improving homes in partnership with individuals and families in need of a decent and affordable place to live.
Families and individuals in need of decent, affordable housing apply for homeownership with their local Habitat for Humanity. Each local Habitat’s family selection committee selects homeowners based on three criteria:
As part of their willingness to partner, Habitat’s homebuyers invest hundreds of hours of their own labor, called sweat equity, working alongside volunteers and other Habitat homeowners. That’s right! We will get to work along side the family who will be receiving our home build!
Well, that depends on how far we are in the home build day prior to the one you signed up for. Each build day will continue where the last build day left off. This could mean you will be helping with anything from laying foundation, putting up a frame, installing drywall, painting, sanding, landscaping, etc. Feel free to reach out to your Project Foreman as you build day approaches to learn more.
Teenagers, 14 yrs or older, are welcome to participate in a home build day (ages 14-17 MUST be accompanied by an adult).
Build days are generally from 7:45am-2:00pm. Sign in begins at 7:45am followed by a safety briefing at 8:00am. There will be a break for lunch which is provided for all volunteers and clean up begins at 2:00pm but can sometimes be earlier. The workday will end after the site is clean and tools have been put away.
We are also looking for lunch sponsors for each build team. Lunch is provided to all volunteers and the home recipient family. If you would like to help provide lunch on a build day, click the registration link (coming soon) and let us know!
Make sure to wear comfortable clothes appropriate for the work and weather. Wear items that can get stained, ripped, muddy, paint-spackled, etc. You must wear closed-toed shoes - do not wear flip flops, backless shoes or Crocs. For safety, do not wear loose, oversized clothing or dangling jewelry. Wear a Cibolo Creek shirt, if you have one!
Please bring a water bottle (iced water provided on site), hat and sunscreen with you on your build day. Personal Valuables will not be safe on the work site. We accept no responsibility for lost or stolen items. We highly recommend that you do not bring items that you consider valuable to our work sites. We will provide all the tools and materials you will need to participate.(Please note: Animals/Pets are not allowed on the work site. HFHSA discourages volunteers from feeding stray animals or pets.)
