Serving Sunday

Here to Help on April 18, 2021

Over the years, many of you have been a part of our annual Serving Sunday.  Serving Sunday is a day we leave the church building to worship by serving our community. Serving Sunday in 2020 looked a whole lot different than the previous 10+ years!  2021 will be a little different given our on-going circumstances, but will look much closer to the heart of why Serving Sunday was created and has continued for so many years.

We are excited that many of the organizations we love to serve are able to accommodate volunteers again!  There are few which continue to be cautious to protect who they serve and their staff.  Most of our projects this year will be outside and in smaller groups to maintain covid-19 protocols.  In addition, we have added some opportunities we don't typically offer, but just make sense in a year like this.

A few of the differences this year, in addition to mostly outside and small groups, include the chance to donate funds which will go to some amazing local organizations that serve our community!  Also, an opportunity to participate in a prayer team that will cover the day, those being served, volunteers serving and the organizations we are working with!  Prayer is powerful and we know it will have great impact.

Serving Sunday 2021 is going to be a wonderful day of worshiping by serving!
"Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2
