SERVING SUNDAY, APRIL 26
Over the years, many of you have been a part of our annual Serving Sunday. Serving Sunday is a day we leave the church building to worship by serving
our community. March 29th was to be the sign-up launch to help 11 incredible organizations around our
area. We won’t be able to conduct
Serving Sunday in the same way we have for so many years, BUT we ARE keeping the spirit of Serving Sunday going!
Over the last few weeks, we have seen the amazing ways
you are being the church by caring for others. There is no greater way to share Christ than to love people at a time like this. BEING
THE CHURCH in this way IS the spirit of Serving Sunday! When you watch a
video, see a photo or read a story of someone caring for another without fear, restrictions, or need for thanks and recognition - it provides much
needed light in these dark days.
Serving Sunday 2020 is going to be a light by telling your serving stories!
Serve someone in some way. Every effort matters. Serving can look like praying via a call
with your life group, donating blood, getting groceries for
someone at risk, or sewing mask covers. It can be providing a way for kids to experience some joy – like the
teddy bear hunt with bears in windows you may have seen. Find a way to help. There are great suggestions at the cibolocreek.com home page – just click the 'Community Help' button.
Share your story of being a helper. This is an opportunity to
spread some joy, to inspire and to share ideas. Please send us your stories, photos & videos by Monday, April 20th.
On April 26th, Serving
Sunday 2020, we will share some of your stories on our live stream!
SEND PHOTOS & VIDEO TO KBURFORD@CIBOLOCREEK.COM OR TEXT TO (830)822-7678
We will keep our commitments to the 11 organizations we were to help. Watch for opportunities to serve at these locations over the rest of this year as 'Beyond Serving Sunday' events!
