Start the day in quiet prayer before you grab your phone, computer or turn on your tv. In the Bible, we read many times that offering our "first fruits" is a way of honoring God. Spending time with Jesus first thing in the morning is a way to acknowledge His goodness in your life and provides a foundation of "giving" your day to Him.
Thank God for who He is and His faithfulness in your life.
Ask God to open your heart to what He has planned for the day. This allows you to start your day ready to do His will and be used by Him for His glory.
Ask God for His daily provisions as He knows the things you need for the day.
Confess your sins to Him and rest in the knowledge that you have been forgiven!
Thank Him in advance as He goes with you about your day and guides your steps.
We all know that our days get busy but remember that the Lord is with us in all we do and say. Set a reminder in your calendar to pause what you are doing and take 120 seconds in the middle of your day to quiet your heart and turn your attention toward Him.
Take a deep breathe and thank God for your morning.
Pray for those you have interacted with today and those you plan to see later.
Ask God for wisdom and discernment as you engage with people who may not know Jesus yet and that you would be a light in their life.
Pray for others in your life that the Lord has laid on your heart.
Ask God to give you peace as you continue on your day.
As you close out your day, spend some time surrendering everything you experienced of the day to Jesus. As your prepare for rest, thank God for the time He gave you today and allow yourself a moment to release what might be heavy on your heart.
Just like you began your day by offering Him your plans, end your day by thanking Him for His provision in your life.
Ask God to reveal Himself to you as you continue to seek Him in scripture and daily prayer.
Acknowledge those things that are causing you to be weary and give them to Jesus as he tells us to do in Matthew 11:28-30. Trust him to take those burdens upon Himself and rest knowing He is in control.
