Chris Janse attended Texas Tech University where he earned a bachelors degree in Finance. After spending nine years as a real estate lender, Chris started a paving business in Houston with a childhood friend. In 2000, Chris sold the business and this enabled him and his family to move to the beautiful town of Boerne. Chris and his wife of over 20 years Carolyn, have two girls, ages seven and ten. The family was attracted to Cibolo Creek's friendly atmosphere, upbeat music and excellent, biblically based teaching.
