Guest Teacher: Bill Blanton
Sunday, July 5, 2009
Cibolo Creek Community Church welcomes Bill Blanton as our Guest Teacher on Sunday, July 5, 2009. You won't want to miss this guy's story.
Bill is just a guy. He attends Cibolo Creek Community Church from time to time. Bill sits in the audience along with everybody else. Bill grew up in Kerrville. Bill is a single dad raising three children, two in college and the other a junior in high school. Bill goes to work each day as an attorney. Bill's engaged to be married next month. Bill is training for the 2010 MS150 bike ride from Houston to Austin. Bill loves to hike the mountains of Colorado. Bill is just a guy, like the rest of us.
Bill is a Christian. He is committed to his faith in Jesus Christ and trying to figure out what that looks like in his life. Bill is trying to
figure out all this talk about God, Jesus and life...just like the rest of us.
In the past five years, Bill has lived a slice of life that most of us would rather not. He's made some really difficult choices, endured some really difficult challenges and suffered some really difficult losses. And, as Bill will tell you, he's the better for it.
Find out why on Sunday, July 5th at Cibolo Creek. |

REVEAL2: The Day Cibolo Creek Told the Truth
Two Part Series Begins July 12, 2009
Earlier this year,
the Cibolo Creek Community Church congregation
participated in an on-line anonymous survey about
spiritual life and practice. They answered questions
about their spiritual beliefs, habits and perspectives.
When the last survey was completed, a profile was
compiled from the results. It represented what was
really going on (or not going on) in the lives of people
at Cibolo Creek.
The results were....revealing!
Beginning July 12, our Senior Pastor, Paul Wilson, will
spend three weeks interpreting the results of our survey
and what they tell us about our church. Join us for a
very insightful look at the truth about Cibolo Creek
Community Church. Find out where our congregation is on
their spiritual journey, what they are doing to keep
spiritually fit and how they are endeavoring to live out
their faith when they are not at church.
You just might
be surprised what the survey revealed. |
